Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, World Business Chicago, and the University of Illinois invite top college students to apply for Chicago's premier tech talent program.

ThinkChicago: Chicago Ideas Week is an annual program inviting 200 of the brightest engineering, design, and entrepreneurial college students for 3 days of talks, tours, tips and trainings with Chicago's fast growing tech world.

The program is FREE and includes tickets to join the group at key Chicago Ideas Week talks.

WHY SHOULD STUDENTS APPLY?

  • You'll go behind the scenes with companies such as Relativity, JP Morgan and Uptake.
  • You'll hear from civic and tech leaders about how new technologies are shaping Chicago's industry.
  • You'll tour Chicago's top innovation hubs like 1871, mHub, MATTER, and Blue 1647
  • You'll show off your skills in a civic tech challenge, and network with employers large and small in our Chicago Company Showcase

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Applicant must be a current college student (community college, undergraduate and graduate students accepted) or a recent graduate (as of Spring 2018)
  • All majors accepted (engineering, computer science, design, technology entrepreneurship, information technology and business administration preferred)
  • Applicant must be available to attend the full three days of ThinkChicago programming, which runs from Thursday, Oct 18th – Friday, October 20th, 2018.
