Lauren joined the Office of Technology Management (OTM) as an Associate Technology Manager in May 2018. She manages the College of Applied Health Sciences and works with copyrighted materials.
Prior to joining the OTM, Lauren worked as a Commercialization Analyst at NUtech Ventures at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) evaluating early-stage technologies for their intellectual property (IP) and commercial potential. She received her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology in 2018 with a specialization in Fungal Genetics, and her M.S. in Soil Microbiology in 2014 from UNL. Her doctoral research earned her two NASA Nebraska Space Grant Fellowships. In addition to her work, Lauren enjoys advocating for underserved populations in STEM by speaking on panels and leading workshops. She also served on several Diversity and Inclusion committees at UNL and is currently a member of Women in Bio (WIB) Chicago.
