The UIC OTM mission is to encourage innovation, enhance research, and facilitate economic development through the transfer of intellectual property. OTM is responsible for marketing, negotiating agreements, promoting the research and development of UIC intellectual property, and the patenting and licensing of UIC technologies.
Candidates should have a deep understanding of early-stage technology evaluation and marketing needs, IP strategy, and the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with faculty inventors and corporate representatives to build a pipeline of disclosures and business development opportunities.
