About
Meddie Demming IV, Esq., joined the University of Illinois in 2023 as a Visiting Intellectual Property Legal Fellow. His work focuses on drafting, filing, and managing prosecution matters, as well as reviewing and negotiating license agreements and other commercial contracts. Prior to that he was a Patent Litigator at DLA Piper LLP (US), where he represented Fortune 500 companies and start-ups in the life science and high-tech space.
Meddie received both his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from the University of Toledo, and his J.D. from The University of Iowa. Outside of the OTM, Meddie is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), Lamda Legal, and the National Bar Association (NBA).
