About
Maryna Salkovski joined the Office of Technology Management at UIC in 2023 as a Technology Commercialization Fellow and advanced to Technology Manager in October 2024. Her role centers on evaluating UIC life science innovations, managing intellectual property, and driving commercialization efforts to promote research, innovation, and economic growth.
Maryna holds a B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish from Elmhurst University and a Ph.D. from UIC, where her research in the Aldrich lab focused on discovering small-molecule autophagy modulators using high-throughput screening techniques aimed at therapeutic development.
In addition to her work at OTM, Maryna is an active member of Women in Bio and AUTM, an entrepreneur, and a coffee aficionado.
