About
Maryna Salkovski joined the Office of Technology management at UIC in June 2023 as a Commercialization Fellow. Her work focuses on screening UIC life science technologies, managing intellectual property, and commercializing these inventions to foster innovation, advance research, and facilitate economic development.
Maryna received her B.S. in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish from Elmhurst College, now Elmhurst University, and her Ph.D. from the Aldrich lab at UIC where she used a myriad of high-throughput phenotypic and targeted approaches to discover small-molecule autophagy modulators, with the goal of developing potential therapeutics.
Beyond her responsibilities at the OTM, Maryna is a member of Women in Bio, an entrepreneur, and a coffee aficionado.
