UIC Upcoming Workshops

UIC is now offering a limited number of in-person DEEP™ trainings throughout the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Peer Educator Training Date(s) – Chicago: TBD
  - Minimum of six (6) to eight (8) people must register
  - Cost - $800 per person
  - What IS included with training costs: All training materials and breakfast and lunch
  - What is NOT included in training costs: Dinner, transportation, lodging, certification cost ($75 per person), DEEP license fee ($600 per organization, if not already obtained), printed curriculum
  - Optional purchase: Curriculum books can be purchased for an additional $75
  - Registration Fees are non-refundable. If for any reason, UIC must cancel the Peer Educator workshop, all training workshop fees will be refunded.
Lead Trainer Training Date(s) – Chicago: February 18-20, 2025; April 22-24, 2025; June 3-5, 2025; August 26-28, 2025; October 7-9, 2025
- - Cost - $1,000 per person
  - What IS included with training costs: All training materials and breakfast and lunch
  - What is NOT included in training costs: Dinner, transportation, lodging, certification cost ($900 per person), DEEP license fee ($600 per organization, if not already obtained), printed curriculum
  - Optional purchase: Curriculum books can be purchased for an additional $75
  - Registration Fees are non-refundable. If for any reason, UIC must cancel the Lead Trainer workshop, all training workshop fees will be refunded.

General Workshop Information

UIC works closely with two Senior Master Trainers – Laura Gamba and Sharon Ayers, MSW
- Training costs associated with trainings conducted by Senior Master Trainers are based on their discretion and are not associated with UIC
- In addition to any training costs, organizations are still responsible for remitting to UIC all certification/recertification fees
UIC has a list of active Lead and Senior Trainers around the country. Please feel free to request trainer information for your area!
